Boosting trust and reducing support requests for helthcare software

Customer support complaints were filling up with users being frustrated when they reached the end of the online eye exam only to find out they weren’t eligible for a prescription. Many felt misled, leading to an increase in complaints and support requests.

“I spent 20min to not get a prescription?”

- Quote from usability testing

Working closely with product managers and engineers, regulatory and clinical professionals, I designed a multi-step solution:

  • Pre-exam eligibility messaging: A clear disclaimer at the start of the exam set proper expectations, explaining that users are ineligible for a prescription, but can still do the test to understand how well they see (get their visual acuity results).

  • Exit page redesign: A revamped ineligible results page provided clearer, personalised explanations for ineligibility, along with guidance on next steps visiting an optometrist for further evaluation.

Solution impact: These changes reduced user complaints and support requests, while boosting referrals and appointment bookings to partner optics. Users appreciated the transparency, leading to improved trust and a more positive experience.

This redesign was part of a bigger project that was shared between two designers.

My role: the solutions described above and prescription exit page updates (see end of animation).

Responsive webpages built in WordPress

As part of easee’s digital ecosystem, I (re)designed and developed responsive webpages in WordPress. The goal was to enhance usability and maintain brand consistency.

My role: Product Designer & WordPress Developer

I led the design process, ensuring the pages aligned with easee’s visual identity and user needs. Additionally, I handled the WordPress development.
